Magic Marketplace is an independent price-comparison service. Product images are displayed to help visitors identify the products being compared.

How product images are displayed

Where a product image originates from a retailer or other third-party source, Magic Marketplace normally stores a reference to the publicly accessible image URL rather than downloading and hosting a separate copy. The visitor's browser retrieves that image from its original location.

Copyright and other rights in third-party imagery remain with their respective owners. Magic Marketplace does not claim ownership of retailer, manufacturer, creator or distributor product imagery. Display of an image does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.

Which image we show

Where suitable imagery is available from more than one retailer for the same product, Magic Marketplace normally prefers imagery associated with the retailer offering the lowest delivered price for the relevant comparison. If that source is unavailable or has asked us not to display its imagery, we may use another eligible source.

Image availability never changes the price ranking. Retailers cannot pay to receive preferential placement in organic price comparisons.

Removal requests

We respect requests from retailers and rights holders concerning imagery they own or control. If you would prefer Magic Marketplace not to display imagery from a source you represent, contact us and identify the source or material concerned. We can prevent imagery from that source from being displayed while continuing to show factual product, price and availability information in the comparison.

We do not circumvent access controls, anti-hotlinking measures or other technical restrictions intended to prevent an image being displayed.

Reporting a concern

If you believe imagery displayed through Magic Marketplace infringes your rights, please provide enough information for us to identify the material and explain your relationship to it. We will investigate the request and, where appropriate, stop displaying the affected imagery.
